IWBFD Studio is a creative studio founded in New York City by Paul Joseph J. Kang, working across storytelling, concept design, and project realization. IWBFD begins with a paradox: “I Was Born For Death.” We do not treat death as an end, but as a transition—a threshold where something new can begin. Our work is to design that threshold: turning invisible questions into stories, stories into forms, and forms into real projects people can see, feel, and believe in. At the center of our work is Sim Eternal City, a future city storytelling framework envisioned as the first floating city storytelling where senior citizens and humanoid robots dwell together as coexisting citizens. Its first citizens are elderly people who have lost their homes due to the climate crisis—displaced by rising seas, disasters, and the collapse of urban living conditions. Its second citizens are humanoid robots, not as tools, but as partners in care, memory, labor, and daily life.
