Maison&Objet marked its 30th anniversary by renaming itself 'Pulse' (Sept 10–14, Paris Nord Villepinte), opening the same week that Paris Design Week ran citywide (Sept 10–19). Valencia studio Masquespacio served as ambassador to both, staging the "Pulse in Motion" visuals and installation. For a day, the whole of Paris switched on as a meeting hall for the world's design brands.

Not a product fair — the city itself becomes the "arena" brands travel to in order to meet one another. The textbook Connect.
