IWBFD Storytelling Studios today announced the opening of Casting № 001, its first public call for a single creator, thought leader, or public figure to participate in a three-day rebuild of their digital identity, followed by a ninety-day serialized chronicle of the transformation.
The initiative is offered as an in-kind investment by IWBFD Storytelling Studios and the Hello Joseph Team. The selected participant will receive full access to the studios' Media Platform, Editorial OS, and Operation OS — the same publishing and production infrastructure that powers the bcd-W editorial ecosystem — in exchange for a selection fee and a commitment to co-publish the resulting chronicle across their own channels.
The Protocol
The program is structured in two phases.
In the first three days, the selected participant undergoes what the studios call The Autopsy, The Bridge, and The Resurrection: a mapping of their current digital footprint, an extraction of their signal from closed platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, and a relaunch on an open, AI-readable, bilingual (English / Korean) platform.
For the following ninety days, the transformation is documented weekly and published simultaneously across IWBFD Storytelling Studios, bcd-W Current Today, the studios' Partners' media network, and the participant's own channels — a dual-syndication model the studios describe as "two voices, one story."
The Stakes
The call is positioned as a response to what the studios call the invisible crisis — the growing disconnect between a creator's in-platform engagement and their out-of-platform discoverability.
"Millions of creators have built extraordinary bodies of work inside walled gardens that AI and search engines cannot see," said Paul J. J. Kang, founder of IWBFD Storytelling Studios and publisher of bcd-W Magazine. "When someone searches for them, the internet finds their old self. Casting № 001 is our attempt to show that this can be reversed — in three days, and documented for ninety."
Kang added: "This is not a service. It is a casting call. We are looking for someone willing to be cast in a public story of rebirth."
Who Can Apply
Applications are open to creators, authors, public figures, and thought leaders across disciplines, with no follower-count requirement. Applicants are asked to write a letter in response to five questions and send it by email to [email protected]. No forms are used.
The studios will respond to every applicant within seventy-two hours, with either an invitation to a thirty-minute Casting Call interview with Kang, or a brief explanation and a short reading list.
"We reject most who apply," the call states. "That is the point."
